Steve Zisson is a biotech and healthcare journalist who has written about drug development for many years, previously as editorial director of a Boston-based clinical trials publishing company. He was also president of Carlat Publishing, whose influential flagship newsletter, The Carlat Psychiatry Report, provides independent continuing medical education free of pharmaceutical company influence for psychiatrists.
He got his start in journalism as a newspaper reporter in the Boston area.
His speculative fiction has appeared in Daily Science Fiction, Nature’s Future, One Night in Salem, and Mad Scientist Journal, among other places. Born in Salem, Massachusetts, he now lives in a nearby town close to a lake that once produced great quantities of high quality ice.
Though their lives have some strange Wes Anderson-ian similarities, don’t confuse the real Steve Zisson with this fictional guy at the helm, Steve Zissou:
